Announcing the Winners of the Solana Breakout Hackathon

Colosseum is thrilled to announce the results of the Solana Breakout Hackathon, a global online competition focused on bringing the next wave of high-impact projects into the Solana ecosystem. Breakout was the 11th Solana Foundation hackathon and the 3rd run by Colosseum. The competition brought together founders and developers from 140+ countries to build products spanning Infrastructure, Gaming, DePIN, Stablecoins, DeFi, AI, and a long-tail of Consumer Applications.

More than 10,000 participants teamed up to submit 1,412 final projects to the judges, making Breakout the largest crypto hackathon to date. Pump.fun, Wormhole, MagicBlock, Render, Perena, Walrus, Metaplex, and Replit joined the Solana Foundation as sponsors for the hackathon, offering a platform for crypto founders to jumpstart their journey.

"Solana Hackathons demonstrate the rapid growth of both developer talent and innovation within the ecosystem," said Dan Albert, Executive Director of the Solana Foundation. "The ideas and founders emerging from the Solana Breakout Hackathon are driving real momentum, and the next wave of products will strengthen the ecosystem."

Without further ado, here are the winners…

🏆 Grand Champion

TapeDrive, a scalable decentralized storage network that rewards you for storing data received $50,000 USDC along with passes to attend Breakpoint 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Consumer Track

The first prize goes to Trepa, a sentiment prediction mobile app, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: Melee Markets, a viral market platform blending speculation with prediction markets.
  • Third: TypeX, a keyboard app that transforms user input value into onchain assets.
  • Fourth: Glympse, a fantasy sports app for Web2 attention.
  • Fifth: Deks, a platform that simplifies crypto onboarding through digital and physical gift cards.
  • University: Clipstake, a launchpad for content creators to raise funds by tokenizing future ad revenue.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

DeFi Track

The first prize goes to Vanish, an on-chain privacy solution for Solana, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: MetEngine, a telegram bot that helps people provide liquidity.
  • Third: Encifher, a platform that adds encrypted privacy to DeFi.
  • Fourth: BananaZone, a gamified trading platform.
  • Fifth: Paystream, a peer-to-peer DeFi lending protocol.
  • University: Myfye, enables bankless global asset trading for emerging markets.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

AI Track

The first prize goes to Latinum, a payment middleware that enables MCP builders to get paid, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: Project Plutus, an app to deploy any AI agent on Solana.
  • Third: Agent Arc, a non-custodial AI trading terminal.
  • Fourth: Daiko, a vibe trading app with personalized sell signals.
  • Fifth: theintern.fun, a platform for launching and managing X automation agents.
  • University: Synto, an AI Agent interface to simplify on-chain operations.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

Infrastructure Track

The first prize goes to FluxRPC, the first RPC on Solana that fully separates from the validator layer, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: Vertigo, a sniper-proof DEX for token launches on Solana.
  • Third: Unruggable, the first hardware wallet designed exclusively for Solana.
  • Fourth: One-time Action Codes, a UX primitive that enhances Solana Pay.
  • Fifth: CONYR, a real-time intelligence engine for Solana with AI insights.
  • University: Aquanode, a cloud compute platform offering decentralized providers and featuring orchestration services.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

Gaming Track

The first prize goes to Crypto Fantasy League, a fantasy sports app for crypto tokens, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: chosendotfun, a PvE token launching platform.
  • Third: Scrim, a skill-based wagering platform for competitive gamers.
  • Fourth: Block Stranding, the world’s first survival OMRPG on Solana.
  • Fifth: Lana Roads, an onchain game built using an Ephemeral Rollup.
  • University: Huch, lets players to use gaming assets as collateral for crypto loans.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

Stablecoins Track

The first prize goes to CargoBill, a stablecoin payments platform for supply chain, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: Decal, a payments and digital loyalty platform.
  • Third: LocalPay, a stablecoin payments payments for emerging markets.
  • Fourth: Xelio, global money transfer and payment platform via SMS.
  • Fifth: Bagel, a privacy-first, self-custodial wallet.
  • University: Paytos, an app that turns any phone into a stablecoin wallet.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

DePIN Track

The first prize goes to Decen Space, a platform that makes makes satellite communication cheaper and easier, with an award of $25,000 in USDC. 

Additional prizes went to:

  • Second: Crush, an app that turns everyday receipts into liquid micro-assets.
  • Third: Home Harvest, the world’s largest ReFi community of connected growers.
  • Fourth: Soulboard, a bridge between advertisers and ad space owners.
  • Fifth: NovenGrid, DePIN for renewable power generation and storage nodes.
  • University: WayFi, a decentralized WiFi network on Solana.

Although they did not win any prizes, we would also like to recognize, in no particular order, the work of the following honorable mentions:

University Award

The University Award, which recognizes excellence from the best project led by university students across tracks, goes to OpenSOL, receiving a $10,000 USDC prize.

Public Goods Award

The Public Good Award, which recognizes an open-source project that benefits developers across the Solana ecosystem, goes to IDL Space, receiving a $10,000 USDC prize.

Solana Mobile Award

The Mobile Award, recognizing the best project that integrates with Solana Mobile to be released on the upcoming Seeker dApp store, goes to LootGo, receiving a USDC prize of $25,000.
