Stablecoin Account went live in Samsung Wallet on Nov. 2, 2026, giving eligible Galaxy users in the United States direct access to USDC on Solana. Users can buy, hold, send, and receive USDC in the wallet app they already use, with no separate crypto app or private keys to manage.
The feature was first announced on Oct. 7. Stablecoin Account sits alongside the cards, boarding passes, and IDs users already keep in Samsung Wallet.
How Stablecoin Account works
At launch, Stablecoin Account reaches approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the U.S. Transfers settle on Solana.

Samsung built the feature with Bastion, a licensed stablecoin custodian and infrastructure provider, and Coinbase, which safeguards USDC as Bastion's sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault.
Sending USDC and money
Stablecoin Account supports transfers to other Samsung Wallet users, compatible external crypto wallets, and qualifying bank accounts.
Sending USDC abroad from Samsung Wallet's Stablecoin Account, with the amount converted to local currency
- Users can send USDC to other Samsung Wallet users in the U.S. and compatible external crypto wallets at no Samsung transfer fee. Fees charged by other providers may apply.
- Eligible users can send money to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, where recipients may receive local currency. Fees and availability vary by destination.
Both options are available from the Stablecoin Account card in Samsung Wallet's “Quick access” tab: tap Send, choose a method, and follow the prompts.
Availability
Stablecoin Account is available to U.S. residents aged 18 and over with a Samsung Account on compatible Galaxy devices running Android 13 or higher. It is not available to New York residents.
What Samsung and Solana Foundation leaders said
Leaders from the Solana Foundation and Samsung Electronics commented on the launch.
“As of today, eligible Galaxy users in the U.S. can access USDC on Solana directly within Samsung Wallet. This puts stablecoins into consumers' day-to-day behavior, and is the type of global adoption Solana is built to handle.”
— Lu Yin, Head of APAC, Solana Foundation
“For a decade, stablecoins have proved the technology works. What they lacked was a way to reach the mainstream. Samsung's decision to work with Solana puts digital dollars into everyday life through one of the world's most trusted technology brands. This level of adoption is what we built Solana for, and we're seeing the moment when stablecoins stop being a crypto product and start being how people move money.”
— Lily Liu, President, Solana Foundation
“Samsung Wallet is about making useful experiences feel simple and intuitive. Stablecoins have the potential to make moving money around the world faster and easier, and we want Galaxy users to be able to take advantage of that without having to navigate the complexity of traditional crypto tools. Solana helps us bring that experience to Samsung's scale.”
— Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics
What's next
Samsung has said it expects to explore online and in-store stablecoin payments and expansion to additional markets, subject to local regulation.
